Mandy Okasha, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Minya, stated that the Central Administration for Youth Empowerment through the General Administration for Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship, in cooperation with the Residents’ Club at the youth centers, implemented two sessions of the “Noura” series at the Aba Al-Waqf and Dharout youth centers, managed by Maghagha Youth, within the Ministry’s plan for the Empowerment Program. Youth and raising awareness of population issues, in coordination with the Youth Empowerment Department in the Directorate.
Okasha added that the series discusses issues of bullying and early child marriage through a cartoon series that is shown simultaneously on Egyptian television channels, under the patronage of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, and in partnership between the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the United Nations Population Fund, and a civil society organization.
The activity is being conducted under the supervision of Dr. Sawsan Farghaly, Undersecretary of the Directorate for Youth, and Yasser Abdel-Al, Project Director at the Ministry, and the implementation is followed up by Dr. Iman Aliwa, Director of the Youth Empowerment Department in the Directorate, and Sami Wajih, Director of the Maghagha Youth Department, and Governorate Coordinator Ghada Mohie.
